My quick thoughts on X-Men: Apocalypse...

ATATATATA!!!!!! 2-HIT COMBO!!!!!!

Honestly compared to the other Marvel Movies (IE The ones actually made by Marvel themselves), The X-Men Movies have a reputation for me of being good, but not exactly great, other than X3 and the first Wolverine movie, those movies sucked. Does the newest one do anything to fix that?

It's decent... Not quite as good as Deadpool or Captain America 3. But it is better than Batman V. Superman. Still, I wish these X-Men Movies were actually good and not... Average. If Fox doesn't get their act together, Their going to have to share X-Men and Fantastic 4 with Disney like Sony is doing with Spiderman. So the story goes like this, an ancient mutant known as Apocalypse is revived, he gets his four followers together, and kidnap Professor X. It's up to the X-Men to save him and defeat Apocalypse. The story starts out pretty slow, and it's kind of a shame for a movie that could've been just under 2 hours long, but meanders around during the first act, causing the total run time to be around 2 hours and some odd minutes. But is it at least good, sure. It's got action, comedy, drama, but it's not as consistently good as say the Marvel movies. The new characters range from uninteresting, to just plain... What was that? Apocalypse essentially plays out playing out less interesting than he probably should, he's dark and brooding but there's nothing that distinguishes him from other world destroyers, also Cable's nowhere to be found despite him being essential in Apocalypse's story in the comics, and Wolverine's there and gone like that, possibly because he's getting his own movie soon. On a technical look, it has great action, great effects, but plays out like the final scene from the first Avengers movie. Also that Quicksilver scene was really funny. Overall It's alright, but really makes you wish Marvel made this movie themselves... I give this 2.75 Apocalypse Tombs out of 4...

If Fox doesn't stop making average X-Men movies, the rights will just go back to Marvel, just saying...
