Well, It's been a year, lets talk Super Megaforce again...

What exactly went wrong with Power Rangers Super Megaforce...

OK, another piece on Super Megaforce, Don't worry, I promise not to dwell on it forever, but let's get real here... This is the 3rd piece I did on the Super Megaforce finale (though this is more of a "My thoughts on the series as a whole" thing) and it probably won't be the last. Power Rangers Fans, Sentai Fans, and Toku Fans alike are going to be doing a postmortem on this series and it's finale for a long time, for the hack job it did to the Power Rangers Legacy, and the greatness that is Gokaiger (and coming from me, someone who's generally not a Sentai purist, That's saying something)... I came up with a list things that went wrong with the series, and it's prequel series, Original MegaForce (though calling it that is a stretch, more on that later)...

My quick thoughts on the Extended Cut of the Power Rangers Super Megaforce Finale (and some extra thoughts on the regular cut)

Remember when the term director's cut was something holy amongst film buffs... Now they can put the term extended cut on anything to make a quick buck and it's their way of telling the general public... "Hey, this version might not suck as much as the original... LOVE ME AGAIN!!!!!" Case in point the Director's cut of Saban's big humiliating flop from last weekend known as Power Rangers Super Megaforce "Legendary Battle" is probably going to be seen as a cash grab, but can it possibly be savaged with a longer running time and extended scenes, well...

My (Somewhat) quick thoughts on Power Rangers Super Megaforce "Legendary Battle"

Spoiler: I rip off Moviebob with this following line, so apologies in advance...

Listen to me very carefully... I spent pretty much all season bending over backwards to give this episode a break, particularly because I'm a huge Power Rangers/Tokusatsu fan since I was little and I would like there to be another good Power Rangers series after Disney cursed the property with that God awful MMPR Revision, but  mainly because I don't want the Sometimes real self important and entitled nature of Power Rangers and Toku fans to come out of the woodwork at start whining and complaining about how "WAAAAAAAHHHHHH, POWER RANGERS WILL NEVER BE GOOD AGAIN!!!!!!" So I looked for ways this could work... Maybe it'll be a decent (but not exactly perfect) conversion of the Gokaiger counterpart, maybe the cameos from past rangers won't totally be wasted, Maybe it's aimed at real young kids and that's the right way to go. In other words I tried like hell to like this...

Toku Rubbish Roundup #3

GAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I'm tired, lacking motivation to do blogs, and I'm on a F***ING DEADLINE!!!!!! Ok, an Imaginary deadline, but still. So expect the 2 Halfway to Halloween blogs sometime on April 30 and before, and expect another R.Cubed in the coming weeks. With that said, Let's see how the 3 Toku series that I'm currently watching that are on going are doing.

Toku Rubbish Roundup #1: A new segment where I take a look at Power Rangers, Super Sentai, and Kamen Rider episodes

So ToQGer just happened, I'm not Impressed. Yeah, I wasn't exactly impressed with Kyoryuger, but it has a certain appeal to it, and it kind of has aspects of 80s and 90s sentai with aspects of Abaranger (which I wasn't a big fan of). So I decided from week to week, I'm going to take a look at each week's sentai, rider, and ranger episode. So Today we're taking a look at the first episode of ToQGer, the second episode of Super Megaforce, and the 18th episode of Gaim.
