My Top 5 Metroid Powerups

Samus is under Fire, She sent an emergency directive. JOIN THE FIGHT!!!! It's Metroid top 10 time, we've got the top 5 power ups, Why only top 5? you don't question my life decisions and I won't question yours. Unlike Zelda, These power ups are mainly addons to the suit or gun, so these power-ups aren't as interesting, but these power ups were amazing because they looked cool, made the game more interesting to play, were a blast to use, or all 3. So let's explore Zebes, and get to...

#5: SCAN VISOR:

They say you're a maniac if you 100% a game, especially a complex game like Metroid, but The scan visor made it more fun, seen primarily in the 3D games, this could make you identify enemies, objects, weak points on bosses, and more. One thing I like about first person Metroid is the cool looking visors, and do you know how much cooler Halo would be if they put in a colored tint to Master Chief's visor, anyhoo the Scan visor had a cool looking blue tint to it. It's low on the list because it was a chore to scan every enemy and object, but when you did, it was oh so satisfying!

#4: GRAPPLE BEAM:

Probably Metroid's version of the Hookshot, this you could use as a rope, a disarmer, or a way to open doors, this weapon's pretty diverse, especially in the 3D games. Use it to get from area to area, take away shields, or whatever you feel like. it was more of a grappling hook than a weapon, but some boss fights have used it over the series. It made for some great platforming segments. That's pretty much all I got...

#3 ICE MISSILES:

What's better than an ice beam, an ice beam that goes Kaboom, sure you ran on an ammo system for this compared to the Ice Beam, but this had more destructive potential, could freeze and destroy enemies, as well as a short range explosion. Plus it looked cooler. You could also freeze some liquids to create platforms, solve puzzles, and more. It may've only been seen in only 2 games, but it was amazing in the 2 games it was in,

#2: SPIDER BALL:

Spider Ball, Spider Ball, Does whatever a spider can! Can it sling from a web, no it can't, it's not Spiderman. But it can climb up walls, and in the prime games, it looked cool when you go on tracks made for the power up. it may not have some of the features that the regular morph ball did, but it does whatever a spider can, holy crap! I really like the Morph Balls in general, but this was by far the best, just saying...

#1: SCREW ATTACK:

Iconic and powerful, it placed you in a destructive, cool looking ball of energy. it inspired a smash bros item, the name of a gaming website, and when you think of Metroid, you think this. It destroys anything in your path, it added more jump to your jump, and covered samus in a Ball of energy and electricity. It got even better with the transition to the 3rd dimension, with great puzzles, platforming, and boss battles that used this attack. There's a reason it named a gaming website, and had the #2 slot on said gaming website's top 5 power ups in all of video games, its also seen on a lot of other gaming websites top lists for greatest power ups...
