In the early 2000s A debate started known as Power Rangers VS Super Sentai, The answer was Highly Debated Over the years, but If you want my two cents, THEY'RE BOTH AWESOME!!!! It's not worth comparing unless One side's HIGHLY inferior to the other, See Turbo over Carranger, Boukenger over Operation Overdrive, Gekiranger over Jungle Fury, and RPM over Go-onger (though the last one can be highly debated). The two sides have their newest installments, the 20th anniversary season of Power Rangers, Power Rangers MegaForce (an adaptation of the 34th Super Sentai series Tensou Sentai Goseiger), and the 37th Super Sentai Series, Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger. Which is the better side? Find out today.


BEST CORE TEAM:

Troy/Red Megaforce Ranger is the leader (like Jason from Mighty Morphin'), Noah/Blue Megaforce Ranger is the science nerd (like Billy), Emma/Pink Megaforce Ranger is the Valet Girl (like Kimberly), Gia/Yellow Megaforce Ranger is the Tomboy (like Trini), Jake/Black Megaforce Ranger is the party guy (like Zack), and that's the extend of their characters, Cardboard Cutouts of the original five from Mighty Morphin'. Yeah, Megaforce Already Blows. While Kyoryuger has a lot more interesting Characters. Daigo/Kyoryu Red (AKA King) is the badass leader, actually wanting to be noticed by the world. Ian/Kyoryu Black is the rich Ladies man, even though he debuts in the new episode, he's also European. Nobuharu/Kyoryu Blue is the old guy, a character that adults can relate to. Souji/Kyoryu Green is the EXTREME guy, Into Motorcycles, Fighting, and ACTION!!!! Amy/Kyoryu Pink is the Girly girl, AKA the Girl appeal character. We all know Why there's no yellow ranger and how much of a hack the whoever said that reason is, So we're not getting into that. But in all seriousness, the Kyoryugers Have something that the Megaforce Rangers Lack, Personality, Energy, and dimension.

Point Goes to Kyoryuger.


BEST VILLAINS:

Sadly the Villain who get's the most screen time is Vrak, even then he kind of isn't that great. He lacks, uniqueness, He's intelligent and makes monsters grow, SO WHAT!!!! The other 2 villains are boring because they don't get any screentime. The Deboss army isn't that much better because 3/5 of the villains don't even look like appealing villains. But 2 villains look pretty convincing, Chaos and Dogold, Aigaron is a wimp, he has to CRY EVERY FIVE DOD DERNED SECONDS, while Luckyuro and Candelilla look cartoony. I suppose using emotions to revive their great master is better than using bug soilders to take over the world.

Point goes to Kyoryuger, again.


BEST ACTION:

This will also include Arsenal, and Zords/Mecha. The zords in Megaforce Look a lot better than the cartoony looking mechs in Kyoryuger. Red's the Dragon, Blue's the Shark, Black's the Snake, Yellow's the Tiger, Pink's the Pheonix. They all look CG, but at least they're not Cartoony. While Kyoryuger has cartoony Dinosaurs. Red's the Tyrannosaurus (as always), Blue's the Stegosaurus, Pink's the Triceratops, Green's the Velociraptor, and Black's the Parasaur. Hey at least they don't speak. The weapons also look a little Cartoony, but they do remind me of the Stinger Weapons/Beetle Battlers from B-Fighter/Beetleborgs. The megaforce weapons are kind of like the original Mighty Morphin' weapons with a card motif, Because when I think a team to save the world, I think YuGiOh! The action's about equal but Megaforce is just a bit better so far.

BEST PRESENTATION:

Yeah the special effects gotten worse since Gaoranger/Power Rangers Wild Force, I miss the toy models of the 80s and 90s sentai/ranger series, but changing of the times. And the Explosions have gotten worse in Power Rangers since SPD, Linkara already went on a rant on why they suck. As for music, Megaforce has many remixes of the original Go Go Power Rangers Music, which get's old after a while. Kyoryuger has a more energetic and orginal soundtrack, especially the ending theme, it's very catchy, giving out the roles of the various dinosaurs.

Which Finally leads to the most important element of both series...


BEST STORY:

A legendary head known as Olmec... Eh... Excuse me, Gosei learns the alien organization known as Warstar is about to attack earth, and he gets his robotic sidekick Tensou to get 5 teenagers to save the world. We all know who these 5 teens are, go to an earlier section of the review. Warstar sends one insect monster a week, to invade the earth, The POWER RANGERS MEGAFORCE Team up to beat said monsters, the monster grows, and the 5 Zords combine to Form the Gosei Great Megazord. The team later ge's more zords like the Sky brothers, the Sea Brothers, and the Land Brothers, And that's as deep as Megaforce's main story gets. It's a Carbon Copy of MMPR Season 1. It tries to hard to be dark, and comes off as awkward in a sense. Kyoryuger may be light-hearted and humorous but It works, It's not super Japanese and Cartoony Like Carranger, It's just a little cartoony. The Story is in the age of Dinosaurs, The ZyuDenRyu are transformed dinosaurs, they trapped the evil Deboss in an Ice Block, In the modern day the Deboss army try to revive their still frozen leader using emotions. The Wise God Torin gathers 5 people to stop Chaos from doing such that, and become ZYUDEN SENTAI KYORYUGER!!!! He has them team up with the ZyuDenRyu by using batteries that activate the Mechs, and when the monster grows, the Team combines their dinosaurs to form the Kyoryuzin. It may be just as simple as Megaforce, but it actually does something with it.

Point and Game goes to Kyoryuger by 4-1, The superior show.


FINAL VERDICT:


Yeah Kyoryuger is Cartoony, and comedic, but It has lasting appeal to it, It knows it's for kids and is proud of it. It appeals to adults and kids alike. While Megaforce doesn't know if it wants to be for People who watched Power Rangers in the Zordon era, a new audience, or both, instead it kindof get's cluttered in such a way that it's hard to enjoy, and the novelty quickly wears off. So this game's winner is KYORYUGER!!!!

When Anonymous Yoshi's low on health, He can morph into Super Yoshi Mode, Granting him Flight, Fire Breathing, and Ground Pounding. He also looks more like an actual Yoshi.
