Everything you need to know about Yo-Kai Watch...

You know those funny blogs with lots of thought, meat on the bones, and occasional story I do a lot? This is not one of those, This is a segment for parents, and questioning gamers and toy collectors whether you should or shouldn't buy this game and it's various media and merchandise. So Yo-Kai Watch, The franchise that envy's Pokemon and has a lot of fans in Japan. It's got the backing of Nintendo, Viz, and Hasbro in America, You've no doubt seen the commercials all over Cartoon Network, Nick, Disney, and maybe whatever the Hub's called this week. So it's going to be a children's fad not quite the size of Pokemon, but it'll have it's 7-11 year old fans who'll look at this franchise with the same type of fondness 90s kids have for Pokemon and Power Rangers, and buy the more expensive merchandise 10 years from now if/when it goes to the adult collectors market... So here's everything you need to know about Yo-Kai Watch...

What is it?

Yo-Kai watch is basically pokemon but with Japanese folklore in place of weird looking creatures of all types of origins. The plot basically revolves around you going around Japan, looking for capsule machines (for other Youkai), and look for Yokai hidden all over Japan. all the basic media follows this basic plotline, and the toys have discs you insert into a watch like item, and use it like a PokeBall. It is aimed at 7-11 aged kids, so it does have juvenile humor, so that might be a detractor. but who knows, you might enjoy it in spite of that.

Who made it?

Level 5 and Nintendo... Nintendo needs no introduction, but Level 5 made games like Dark Cloud, various Dragon Quest games, Professor Layton, Inazuma Eleven, LBX and more...

When does it come out?

November 6, 2015, just in time for the holiday season.

Where can you get the merchandise and games?

The game you can buy just about anywhere games are sold. The DVDs you get at Best Buy, FYE, Amazon, you know, stores that sell anime stuff, also you can watch the show on Disney XD or Netflix if it ever comes out there. The toys you can get where ever toys are sold, and I don't mean those bootlegs you can get at the dollar store or anything like that, I recommend Toys "R" Us. the Manga is sold in bookstores or online.

Why buy it?

It's like Pokemon, and the kids are guaranteed to LOVE it, as for teenagers and adults.you're better off getting Pokemon, or at least renting it. It's your choice if you want to buy it, but think about what this game offers that isn't in other Monster collecting franchises, like Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and even Digimon. It is a kids game after all... As for Parents, It doesn't have much objectionable, so If you're looking for a stocking stuffer, this is it, This is going to be the kids fad of 2016.
