POWER RANGERS: KYUTAMA QUEST!!!
WARNING: I RELEASE MY INNER AMIT BHAUMIK HERE:
Concept:
Short version: The Big Kid Power Rangers. It'll be rated TV-PG (and even TV-14 in some episodes, but since it'll air on Netflix, Ratings don't matter, until Hulu, or Amazon want a piece of that Pie then Worry about the Ratings). This'll be presented as 2 Parts known as acts (not super seasons anymore) both acts shall act as 1 whole season. Trust me continuity freaks will have a nerdgasm from all the treats Saban and Toei will give them. but if you're upset about a linked continuity, complain about this later.
Characters:
Jonathan (Red Kyutama Ranger, British) cocky, hot-headed, and selfish, but learns the truth of being a leader.
Lum (Green, east Asian, aspie, refers herself in the 3rd person) Arrogant, prideful, but has to deal with threats she just can't win all the time.
Jack, "Taison" Barney (Yellow, boxer, African-American) Smart as he is bullet proof, but still Has to deal with teasing and downright abuse
Davis and Henry (Caucasian (from Dubai) and Russian, Blue and Black) Deal with Discrimination, and can be comical, but grow up from bullies to downright heroes (like bulk and Skull over 6 years, but in just 88 days).
Sylva (silver, complete MTF, pansexual) and Goldman (robot (no human form)). Sylva wants to date a Power Ranger (Has the hots for Katie, but not in robot form), but realizes that sometimes love comes from actual traits other than specific self-serving qualities, and Goldman has to learn empathy, sympathy, and human emotion.
Mike and Katie (Mike's voice is similar to Time Force's Quantum Ranger, and Katie's human hair is pink (much like Nadira)), they love each other, but must realize that Katie's just a robot and not a replacement for Mike's high school sweetheart (who's also Named Katie), is out of her life, possibly kidnapped by an unknown, jealous stalker.
Gennai: (original purple/violet Kyutama Ranger): who helped the Rangers in secret by defeating Jaeger and a couple of monsters, will play a bigger role in Act II. Other than that he serves as Andros' subconscious.
Andros: (purple/violet Ranger, legacy Ranger): the team's mentor and commander, the more the Rangers learn, he holds their hands less often. Yet he has nostalgia troubles over the other more popular Rangers, who have done much less according to him (like Jason and Tommy) despite him destroying Zordon, defending KO-35 from evil forces before he knew of the, "In space Rangers", leading his own set of Rangers.
Superior Commander Billy: (a figure who only appears as a hologram or voice throughout both acts) is a minor character who appears as a way to introduce Hector (cyan Ranger), an ultra hyper, autistic character who wants all the attention he can get. However, he needs to realize that in order to be a Ranger he needs to know that there's a time and place for everything, but he could hurt himself or others in more ways than one. Give him some discipline every time he does wrong.
Athena Is the son of Zordon, as well as the Alpha surrogate, but plays out in Professor Hart's style.
Phoenix Knight'll be explained in Act II, but the villains (The Machine Empire from Zeo, only more powerful, and no one knows they've been revived by a being known as, "L", and going by the name NEO Machine Empire (to match their higher level of technology)) need to be explained now, Rito is recruited for the first half of Act I, but replaced by Mech Goldar who is even less productive other than the 4 general trolling when they send down a monster and of course, comic relief. Archerina Makes Monster grow with laser arrows, Gasket, becomes psychically connected to Jaeger but after they separate, he becomes comic relief, save for the occasional mission with Goldar. Scorpina (Who's robots parts will be explained in the over all season finale, "Heaven or Hell" (May have to take a look at Kyuranger scans from now until late December to see how the finale should go, got to beat Saban to the punch, since Saban's probably going to Screw up $uper Ninja $teel like they did with Super MegaRatingsTrapForce) Is the brains of the empire, but she can also be a formidable fighter, she just wasn't programmed like that., "L" will become important later and we all know who he's going to be, but it's the way he'll be executed that only I know. Scorpio will serve the same purpose as he did in the Sentai along with his 2 hired hitmen.
Places:
Kyutama research center, the command center of the season.
"Machine Empire Castle": same as Kyuranger.
Namco Place: the Rangers' down time area much like the juice bar but more video gaming, live entertainment (for teens and young adults), sodas/sweets.
Anything else:
This'll be a tribute to, "In Space"/the post-Zordon era. With a healthy mix of Wasserman/rock Tunes (I'd like him to sing the theme song, with the Go Go Power Rangers Part subtly yet included like the PR:iS theme (also don't make it a carbon copy, please?)) and orchestral tunes. While you're at it, get the old voice acting band back together (Yes they're old, but it doesn't mean we shouldn't try). You could find a just as good replacement for Rito, because after the first arc, He ceases to be relevant. everything else will be explained as it goes...
Act I: Arc 1: Search for the Nine Arc:
Episode 1 & 2: 88 Days In the year 2050, The whole galaxy is taken over by the Neo Machine Empire, A hot headed, Selfish British Kid (Jon) steals a Spaceship to kill the descendant of a female ninja, but Lum and her African-American boxer friend, who lost to Jon accidentally get themselves sucked in a wormhole while trying to stop the Ship. The year is 2020. Rito, who survived the Z Waves, is hired by the Neo Machine with a robotized Scorpina. The cloaked figure introduces himself as “L”, and steals Archerina’s (yes that Archerina) bow and several arrows to turn Davis into a Sirarian and Henry into from a Russian-American to a bull alien (Taronian, given mechanical parts). After montage of discrimination, they turn back on the humans. Jon punches the Sirarian to show his anger. And The Episode ends with Henry Going, “Destroy!” along with a Next time on Power Rangers Kyutama Quest.
Part 2 begins with the an Previously on Power Rangers Kyutama Quest (every episode will feature this gap). Then, Henry puts Jon into pile driver, and Davis uses kung fu on the kid. A familiar robed figure appears with a toy of his own, the Spiral Saber. He orders the 5 to stop and they go into his own New base. Andros then expositions about, the original Machine Empire, then tells the 5 that a newly formed machine empire, with even higher tech from a mystery Corporation. Scorpina & Rito go looking a for a monster in a dark prison (a mix and match of Both Saban eras and the Disney era), where only the worst of the worst go. Then Rito finds war criminal Jaeger. Rito Splices Jaeger’s DNA and Rito heads towards Gasket and Scorpina Isn't to happy about it, because He didn’t do it correctly and Didn’t insert the DNA into Gasket correctly causing many side effects. Gasket fights the Five Rangers more or less how they did in Kyuranger. Andros Sees something redeeming in these flawed five, So he gives a speech and gives them each a Kyutama Crystal much like how Zordon, Ninjor, and (maybe) Dulcea saw something in the original Five MMPR Rangers, and beyond (except Gosei, Gosei should go back to hosting legends of the Hidden Temple). They get back to earth to Fight Organic Gasket, He grows, and Things go more or less how they go in Kyuranger, except He talks to the red, Yellow, and Green Ranger in private, telling them they have 88 days to stop L’s Army from Stealing the other 83 Crystals before the Neo Machine Empire, who has a majority of them, and plans to find the rest.
Episodes 3-5: Do Androids Have a Heart?
Part 1: A Silver haired High school kid, named (Sylva (Silver Ranger, Female, Yes I’m going to swap genders of Rangers Just like the good ol’ days #ImNotASJW)), Tests her new robot Rockman, only to find out That L Waves were sent all over and Organic Gasket uses his new spear to corrupt Silva so Robots and their inventors turn on their creators, and a hodgepodge of robot monsters from Saban’s Tokusatsu collection attack people in Cities like Crossworld City, Angel Grove, Charterville, and Stone Canyon (it’s okay for them to to look different, Maybe the cities have changed over the years). Meanwhile in Cosmos City, At a Bar/Diner, Jon is talking to an unnamed man offering a $20,000 Pegasus Kyutama Crystal, while enjoying a cup of Java, a pink haired woman, is chatting with another woman, and a man with a similar voice to Eric Myers going “Don’t touch my girl”… then reveals his name is Daniel (with a stolen Scorpio Kyutama Crystal), and a parallel shots of Jon’s table, 2 extras, and Lewis Lovhaug/Linkara reading a Beetleborgs comic (like an original print of their first appearance in the Early 1980s #ExpandingTheLore, and he could be in his everyday clothes), and the pink haired girl (Katie) transforms into her robot form, and Part 1 ends with Athena, (Daughter of Zordon, and is a woman who appears in a similar position to Professor Hart) tells the Rangers that Jon is fighting against a Kyutama user and the Pegasus Kyutama shakes ending the episode. Each scene cut with Sentai footage from Episode 2. With scenes with footage of episode 2 of the gold and silver fighting the along the core five (which’ll be explained later)
Part 2: After Winning against the monster from last episode, via Megazord. The Core 5 meet and the extra four, and realize what’s wrong with them, they’re possessed. But they have to fight them anyway, However, they only cure 3 out of the four Rangers. The pink Ranger is only halfway cured. A new monster appears, only with spliced DNA from the monster from last time and now with another unknown monster. He appears on the moon, so the Rangers are sent there while Pink and Orange fight with each other. Organic Gasket is fighting against the Rangers on the Moon and his experiencing his organic half is splitting. The episode ends with Dan heading towards to the moon to join in the fight.
Part 3: After a fight using Sentai footage (with some American footage), the monster is destroyed. Scorpina and Archerina hold Rito to the garbage hole, and Gasket tells Rito, “Look what you have done to me. Now we have Jaeger as a separate personality, and L Put me on fighting restriction.” Rito goes ”One more chance please?” L goes, “Scorpina spent all night on this, and Jaeger'll handle the dirty work.” Mech-Goldar “who’s Neo Griffzorzeror” pops in and goes, “Destroy!” Back on earth The 7 Rangers tell Katie, who’s crying in the corner of the diner, that Daniel broke up with her, and tell her that “Forgiveness can happen to any 2 or more people, even to the worst of enemies.” Dan reluctantly joins the 9 after remembering his feud with his older brother who became a monster and killed their parents. The 9 face a new monster who got a chip a battery inserted to him Scorpina inserted to him in an earlier scene. The 9 Rangers fight as a shadowy battle against the monster in much the same way Kyuranger did it, (Archerina sends an arrow to the location where the monster was defeated) the shadow battle ends with Jeager Going into an incinerator.
Semi-Filler: Episode 6:
2 hitmen, 9 Rangers: The four generals of “L” Hire 2 hitmen under the service of Scorpio, who the only Ranger who knows of the existence of is Dan. The 2 hitmen appear; their names are Butch and Jessie. They pretty much own the Rangers and The Ranger senses a monster and a weird looking guy who can’t be a Power Ranger, but does look like one, and the kid goes “Hey, bro”... Red Ranger thinks to himself “what’s going on?”, then an old man goes “He’s a Kamen Rider, he’s looking for a man named Karl Ziktor *Silence* Jr.” Red Ranger goes, “How am I able to talk to you?” The Old man goes, “I have Contact with every Ranger with a Kyutama Crystal” Red Ranger uses his Pegasus Kyutama Crystal and goes after Butch and Jessie and a laser damages the Pegasus armor, and right after the Pegasus armor goes off, and Butch goes, “He who fights and runs away,” then Jessie goes, “Will live to fight another day.”
And the Search for the Nine arc ends with a mysterious absence of Andros and Athena as the Rangers enter the base…
Act I: Arc 2: Scorpio Arc:
Episode 7: Andros’ Execution: A dragon resembling the Red Dragon Thunderzord fling in front of the sun until a Mysterious Orange Jet fighter comes and a couple of Smaller Red and Blue fighters come in and a chase across The Dragon is revealed to be Purple and the purple Ranger fires his gun at the fighters but strikes at the weak point of the Purple Dragon. Meanwhile Andros is getting ready to be executed For a crime he didn’t commit through the Galactic Senate, including villainous dudes redeemed like a redeemed Elgar, who’s more serious than Turbo and in space. Andros tells everyone that the dark evil that killed Athena’s mother was named Zeus. At first they don’t believe him, then They see a silhouette of a man wearing a Tall jacket. And the figure seems to shock Athena somehow, like he seems familiar to her somehow. The dragon crashes on Earth, and after the trial for Andros’ life or death is over, the Chosen Nine are told of their fighting ability, and after Dying, leaving a Kyutama Crystal behind and Andros gets it, and essentially becomes Gennai Andros Complete with a cloak similar to Digimon’s own Gennai, and Andros gives the black and blue Rangers a speech that some Kyutama gives them Transformation powers to turn human, But they must be in alien form to morph, and the human form has a time limit of 20 minutes (much like runtime of Sentai series without commercials Dynaman to Megaranger). And a monster That turned super after a conflict from another fight from earlier that was only mentioned (both fights) Grows, Megazord fight, and Introduction of the Namco Place’s front (that reveals the name), With a good mixture of games, from Timeless games like Ms. Pac-Man and Galaga, space-agey games like Lost World Arcade, Maybe include Magical Truck Adventure if you can find a decent condition (or a similar case with Rapid River) and Star Wars Trilogy Arcade, and even Pinball games (seriously wouldn’t it be cool If Stern made a Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers Game and sent it to Bowling Alleys, Pizza Places, whatever Though if I could have some creative input, Put both the Green and white Rangers in one way or another). Athena Tells the Rangers that Superior Cranston Would like to talk to the 10 fighters because of a 13-year-old who just so happens to be His son.
Episode 8: Back to Action: A voice of Glee Appears and a Bear Zord charging at light speed. Billy/Superior Cranston says the kid’s autistic and a bit hyper. Lum Goes “Lum’s autistic too, Lum has feelings too.” Cranston goes, “Yeah, but you’ve learned a lot too, The Kid needs to control himself, so I’m picking Jon” Jon goes “What, The Kid was useless against me in the Intergalactic Tournament” After an exchange, the kid appears and everyone but Jon cared. Jon Remembers in “His sophomore year in High school when a non verbal kid punched in the pelvic area (Which plays out like a British sitcom)” and The kid wants to go to Jon and explains his half human half Aquitian nature, and puts a wig on the kid to avoid discrimination, but that’s not enough. Athena Tells that 2 monsters are attacking two parties need to be set up. Jon reluctantly joins up with Hector Cranston. Hector and Jon Fight the Monster, and the 3 hitmen damage Henry so badly he can’t fight as well. The monster is defeated, but a new threat appears, what is called the “sand beast”. Andros remembers him, but doesn’t know why… Andros, Mike, and Hector go form the Dragonfire Megazord, and They win.
Episode 9: Bittersweet Victory: Andros is feeling Nostalgia for his red Ranger Days, but he notices Henry, acting funny. He’ll turn into a Taronian and human at random times, with No consistency. Meanwhile, the Scorpio Trio, Give a challenge to the 11 Kyutama Rangers to fight them in 13 hours or Athena’ll commit suicide (by mind Control) over falling down the Genm Building, formally the Ziktor Building. The 10 Rangers who aren’t the black Ranger go in, but they get curbstomped. Henry goes I want to fight, but not at the risk of death. So as the clock gets faster and faster over a mysterious force, He realizes what he must do, and saves a videotape for Davis, In case this is his final battle. The Black Ranger Says, “I May have a death wish, but I’m a Power Ranger” as the Blue Ranger gets his “Big No!” out and the Black Ranger. Then Black Ranger makes bad puns aimed at Butch like “Can I Axe You a question” and “Axactly”, the other Rangers Join the fight and after a roll call the mighty 11 is formed. They Team up with the Kyutama Megazord + The DragonFire Megazord, to form the Dragon Kyutama Megazord, but Henry demorphs and as soon as he hits the ground. He turns human and spits out blood and an before breathing his last, says thank you to the other 10 Kyutama Rangers and gives them the thumbs up. The Episode ends with Memories of Davis and Henry on videotape (guerrilla style). After the credits roll, A shadowy figure spits on a grave.
Episode 10 (Mostly Filler): Princess Show: Hector had to leave to not look like a stickout, Andros’ Nostalgia Grows as now he’s playing with his morpher, and calls in any Rangers with the ability to be a Ranger for an hour, but Kimberly’s taking a shower in a bad mood, Zack is teaching Hip Hop Aikido, and Jason can do it but only when he has time. Goldman and Taison are repairing the body in under 7 days (if not fixed in 7 days, his soul will be unrepairable forever). Jon gives a Davis a pep talk about Henry’s passing, and Lum tells the girls about the story about her ancestors and their relationship with the Koga clan over the years. She Tells of how she became a jungle girl for 6 years. After she found a male member of the clan. She became an assassin for them and made vow to Jon, that if she can beat her in the 2051 Spring Fighting Classic, She’ll consider Proposing to him. Every time she gets better, she gets more likely to propose to him (a Backstory scene presented as Osamu Dezaki-style Postcard Memories). They get ready to practice for the princess show to boost their Morale. But a J-Pop Singer known as P*O*W. He takes the girls to a mysterious warehouse, but after some talk about Anime stuff, They get excited, as soon as he asks Lum to take her top off, she goes “You’re not the real P*O*W”, fake P*O*W Pulls out his Lord Zedd laugh, and reveals he’s a monster. We came as soon as we got the distress call from Athena. They release the girls and head towards a place similar to the Sentai fight and the episode ends with the Princess show with an original song by Lum/Green Ranger’s actress.
Episode 11: Phantom Ranger’s Final Day: As Andros’ Nostalgia grows Stronger, he wants to get red Ranger again, but When he tries to do it, He seems to morph for a second then it errors out, because his Ryusei half isn’t compatible with it, then back to civilian mode. He looks out the window and finds a familiar spacecraft heading towards Earth, He calls up Jason and Tommy, Enjoying their post Ranger life, but he asks them to join one last time. Out of a need that doesn’t exist. Jason and Tommy are sent, “What’s she sitch?” Tommy asks. Andros answers, “There’s a major disturbance relating to Goldar and Gasket, your enemies from youth, and they’ve got backup.” at Crossworld City, they see Goldar, Gasket, and Jessie beating up the other 7 available Kyutama Rangers. Thomas’ll Be the temporary Red space Ranger and Jason, You’ll be temporary Black Kyutama Ranger. Jason Goes why “Does he get the sword weapon?” Andros gives a speech about how Power Rangers saved the world several times, they’re our heroes, as much as we want them, there’s no Superman that could save them and clips from the franchise’s history from some as serious as Zordon's death to some as comical as The Infamous Ranger Pizza (you know Ranger fans, I could do a whole novella on how people should not be playing verbal tennis over the Ranger Pizza episode, but We’ve got work to do) and The Rangers charge at the Fearsome four, and once the helmet gore happens with a well gun blast by Jessie, The Chosen 9 stop, And Andros goes, “We can’t dilly dally when Heroes die, we must avenge them…” Tommy goes “Andros and I can’t hold your hand through the whole thing” Andros requests Lum and Davis to come to his Aid, Jason demorphs by force, You guys might want to bring Phantom Ranger Back to the base. He might be mortally wounded, back at the Kyutama research center. Athena’s gone again, and the episode ends with Taison Explaining loss (in the art style of a combination of a 80s and Image Comics comic art), He had to box, because it was his only thing that made him happy after his Dad died, and He had a favoritism complex to him, his Mom told him not to join boxing club in his senior year of high school, and He was punching gang members with guns because he was called the Steelman, because he was every bit smart as he was bulletproof.
Act I comes to a close with Episodes 12 & 13: Scorpio’s Reign: Scorpio projects his face as way of telling them that, he’s going to challenge Stinger (Daniel’s Birth name) to one last fight, or The Neo machine empire captures Earth (they already have KO-35, Triforia, and just recently Captured Aquatar), and using the citizens as slaves… Stinger reluctantly accepts, but he asks Taison & Goldman (by calling them Diet Mr. Sandman and C-3PO Boy) how’s the bull doing? They tell him They’re going as fast as they can, It doesn’t help that there’s only 8 earth hours left to save Henry. Hector chases along but a familiar looking Red fighter is on the kids tail. Piggy (who makes occasional episode appearances as the series goes on) watches the stream via Youtube (or the Power Rangers equivalent of that), as well as Elgar (who goes “God Bless, I’m so happy for them”), and Tommy, and Kimberly (make your own theories, because they ain’t getting a whole 3 episode arc explains that explains how they got back together)... Once they reach the M51 Galaxy Capital Planet (and couldn’t have happened at a better time because Henry’s life limit was increasingly speeding down as the wormhole turned it from 7.5 hours to 30 minutes”. As the spaceship lands. Henry goes back to life with just single digit seconds to spare” The Phantom Ranger Unmasks himself to tell the truth, 1) He’s Ryan Steele (no I’m not joking). 2) He modified the Blue hawk to go at supersonic speeds to find if there’s a way to A. Find a way to expose Karl Ziktor as Grimlord, not knowing he has a college aged kid (who has complete custody over him), and that same kid got a girl pregnant. So yeah, it’s a descendants thing now. 3) Some 12 year-old on AOL (who happens to know some things better than JB (a good friend of his) Does) hacked into the Grimlord program and destroyed it. 4) Vexor (Who now looks like how he did for most of B-Fighter, as sort of a way to have a joint finale for whatever reason (like a crisis on infinite Earths thing), Nukus, and their minions fought the Beetleborgs too in “Countdown to Destruction” just Off-screen because it was another part of Earth. He’s on the verge of death, so sits out, but a guy in a black trenchcoat and red Tank top, Merges with him so Steele can live forever. And the episode ends with Master Vile’s head projected over the Rangers takes Stinger, transforms into Scorpio and Challenges the rest of the Kyutama Rangers to his own trials, no Ranger suits, no communications with each other, nothing…
Part 2 begins with Jon In Detention, He has to work next to Hector, who keeps bothering him about stuff that he can figure out by his own. Taison has to deal with Challenging gang members with gangs shooting at every possible corner, Lum Has to deal with a 100 ninjas until the Don of the Koga clan appears without any friends or Family helping and accepting loss. Davis & Henry have to Deal with Discrimination without the helping of their Human Forms. Sylva and Dan have to work together with their robots escorting kids who’ll turn into Gryllus Worm, and Arch Orphnoch by a Full Moon, If they don’t make it in time, they’ll turn into monsters, and They’ll have to fight them. Andros will Fight his own Nostalgia, and his the only who can morph to help, Hector will face Hydro Hog, King Sphinx, and other monsters of the day made significant, somehow and vice versa for Super Sentai, the goal is to get up the stairway which has His powers without Bawling his eyes out with the autism and looking different insults. Each challenge his televised with Ryan Steele, who now has a filter in his voice to sound, as the color commentary, which is includes insults as it get’s more and more successful, if any of the Rangers fail in any way, they die. With no continues or 1ups... Meanwhile Scorpio and Stinger are battling with each showing strength gains, Then as Stinger is about to win, Scorpio shows his Human form, as Stinger gets ready for a hug, Scorpio turns into his Evil Human form then back into Monster form. He tells his brother, “You shouldn’t have let your guard down, kid.” Jessie appears but is quickly cut in half with a fire sword slash.
