Ok I'll elaborate...
History lesson first... In the early 1990s Pepsi released Crystal Pepsi. It was hyped up like crazy. It had no artificial colors, no caffeine, it was set to be a more healthy alternative to colored Pepsi, for those who wanted the taste of regular Pepsi, but weren't to fond of that much chemicals and unnecessary ingredients, it even had a big marketing push behind it. It was popular for a while, By a while I mean a a few months. There are many theories on why it failed, but some believe the confusion between the similar yet different Tab Clear from Coca-Cola caused both drinks to fail, There were a couple attempts to revive the drink in one form or another as well as rumors and mock-ups, but none were as hyped as the re-release recently with Crystal Pepsi back on store shelves.right now. How does the drink fare?
Crystal Pepsi has that cola taste to it, it's sweet, candy like, and comes in a form similar to 7up or Sprite. but don't mistake it for that because this has caffeine, and A cola flavor rather than a lemon lime flavor (FAST FACT: Pepsi at one point had Crystal by Pepsi, it was an attempt to revive Crystal Pepsi, but with a taste more similar to 7up rather than Pepsi), It tastes exactly like Pepsi, but with no colors. I like Pepsi more than coke just FYI. It should get your nostalgia senses in a swirly straw if you had crystal Pepsi when it was new, but I'm assuming that based of the design, I was only -2 in 1993. However if you want to get it, get it by October, because that's when they stop selling it. However I wish that they release it permanently, because if there's one cool thing in the junk/snack food market, it's releasing revivals of classic products in that market. Thumbs up.
I just await the day that they re-release Pepsi Blue...
