56k Beware and Spoilers Ahead
I could only imagine what was going on in Yudetamago's heads when they wrote the last arc of Kinnikuman up to this point... Was it to reset the status quo? was it an experiment? Frak if I know, but this arc will be a revisit to the Wrestling Tournament that started it all, only with subtle hints at what the future might hold. More Violent Battles, longer fights, and improved artwork, but little did they know at the time that this was the arc that would change things forever...The arc begins with Kinnikuman getting a mysterious letter that just so happens to be an application for the Chojin Olympics: The Big Fight. He wants to enter, and gets encouragement from his family and friends, but after he hears he has to start from the beginning, he doesn't want to do it anymore... He hears a report that he championship belt he lost was worth 10 million yen. he later hears about 5 chojin that have a better chance at winning than Kinnikuman. Those are Terryman, Brocken Jr., Ramenman, a new Chojin from the Incan empire known as Benkiman (who's a urinal), and a more successful than Kinnikuman Chojin known as...
DOSUKOI!!!!! IT'S WOLFMAN!!!!
(Yes, I'm well aware that he's named Rikishiman here. But we'll get to why that is below...)
This is Wolfman, based off of a sumo wrestler known as Chiyonofuji "The Wolf" Mitsugu. He was prevalent in the 1970s and 1980s. You can see how Chiyonofuji might've had a problem with it, so Wolfman was renamed to Riksihiman for the 1980s anime, Don't know his name in the Nisei anime, but I'm reasonably certain he's named Wolfman once more. I think enough time has passed so if/when we do get a Kinnikuman Reboot anime, I want them to keep the original Wolfman name. I mean come on, JoJo gets to keep the copyrighted names in it's anime, even though I don't know what language Vanilla translates into Cool in english (those of you familiar with the Crunchyroll subs of JJBA will understand what I mean). Rikishiman boasts about his muscles of steel and calls Kinnikuman "Flabbyman". Kinnikuman gets mad, and then Wolfman strikes back. Kinnikuman waits for the Chojin Olympics at the stadium, because he thinks he'll win if he's the first one there...
Oh wait... Kinnikuman has to be the unluckiest Fin Headed man ever...
All the chojin from around the world are assembled in the seats for the first preliminary. Kinnikuman tries to find where the Japanese Chojin sit, and gets tries to attack by Wolfman. Terryman stops him. Then Kinnikuman meets up with some chojin he met along the way, with Kanibase getting hand surgery. Despite this, he still gets beaten by Kinnikuman in Rock Paper Scissors. Harabote Muscle Introduces the first Prelim as...
THE CHOJIN SIEVE!!!!
It's supposed to take away overweight and underweight chojin. It takes away most of the German Chojin who are indeed fat. The only German chojin who makes it is Brocken Jr. I call bull crap on that because there's at least one German Chojin retconned back into the preliminaries... All the chojin go into the Sieve at the same time, even if Kinnikuman has some reluctance. More Chojin fall as Kinnikuman almost falls, but is saved by the last minute by... Luck. Yeah, luck, You'd think Terryman would've saved him, but no, he'll get disqualified. The next challenge is in Yoyogi Swimming Pool, Where the Chojin are in a swimming race.Kinnikuman doesn't want to race, and he wants to race even less now that the pool's filled with gasoline, where the chojin have to put out the growing flame with getting to a peeing boy statue. After 4 food chojin get turned into a seafood dinner, more chojin enter further into the preliminaries, so it's now time for Kinnikuman's group. Kinnikuman is swimming slow with he fire chasing him fast. The flame swallows up the other chojin except Kinnikuman who was actually repelling the flames with his Kicks. He moves further into the Tournament. The next prelim is the Bullet Train Attack. Kinnikuman thinks he's heading on a vacation, but it's another prelim. Tileman from France pushes the first Train and does pretty well. Several more chojin do pretty good as well. Kinnikuman doesn't do to well in this prelim, but Wolfman slips on a banana peel and falls. He does the worst out of the 50 people who've made it so far. Terryman beats Wolfman, but when he sees the train almost hits something. He saves a dog at he cost of his qualification for the Chojin Olympics...
Probably one of the most Powerful scenes in the entire arc...
A couple of things, 1) the designs get more crazy of this arc and we also don't have those racist stereotypes anymore... for the most part, and 2) I thought we only had 1 representative from Germany, WHY THE HELL IS THERE ANOTHER?!?!
The race will have 10 laps and Roller Skates instead of what Kinnikuman wants, Race Cars... Oh Kinnikuman, Never Change... The Ladder part upsets Kinnikuman. The race starts and Kinnikuman's dead last. The first obstacle is the Valley of Pulled Muscles. It takes several chojin. Kinnikuman uses a tall wood chojin as a bridge. The next obstacle is the Jumbo Loop, it takes more chojin. Kinnikuman is still in last place when the Lead Chojin who are a lap ahead chase after him, Kinnikuman gets some juice when Tileman is about to finish the race. Tileman is stopped by the Tag team known as the Fishers, and he gets crushed in pieces. The chojin start fighting each other, but it doesn't affect Kinnikuman. At least until Wolfman takes him out of bounds. Followed by the Fishers taking Wolfman out. The 2 Japanese Chojin Return to the Track and settle their rivalry, for now. They knock out the Fishers. more Chojin make it to the finish line. The 2 Japanese Chojin get their way unblocked by the other competing chojin. The other chojin go after the 2 Japanese chojin as they have one more lap left. Oilman spills all over the last part of the track. Kinnikuman and Wolfman jump over the last part of the track. Looks like we finally have our competitors The chojin enter the placement ceremony. Their fans celebrate in most appropriate ways including Benkiman's fans throwing dung. Kinnikuman makes his appearance, but forgets his costume...The mysterious USSR Robot Chojin Warsman appears, He Totally won't be the main villain over Wolfman /s. The Chojin Olympics Bracket Placement will be decided by...
Pachinko Machine!!!!
We'll see the results of this tournament, NEXT TIME!!!! Until then, have a great Kinnikuman Day...
To Be Continued in part 2...
