This Movie's a S**TLOAD OF F**K (Ok not that much, but yeah...), Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie Review

A few years ago I talked about the AVGN Movie, This was back when I was still learning, but I was more experienced by the time the first trailer came out, but I was still learning. So the AVGN Movie was out for a couple years now, I finally saw it, and yeah, I was unimpressed, underwhelmed, DUMBFOUNDED!!!! THis movie had 6 years to be worked on, and it looks, plays out, and sounds like crap. Just read my review.

My quick thoughts on X-Men: Apocalypse...

Honestly compared to the other Marvel Movies (IE The ones actually made by Marvel themselves), The X-Men Movies have a reputation for me of being good, but not exactly great, other than X3 and the first Wolverine movie, those movies sucked. Does the newest one do anything to fix that?

Gaming Bits: History of the PC-Engine/TurboGrafx-16: Part 3: Ambitious Endings (1994-1999) (56k Warning)

In the mid 90s, the PC-Engine was a formidable competitor to the Super Famicom, but in 1994 the new fifth generation consoles were on their way, most notable the Playstation, the Saturn, and the Nintendo 64. NEC was more than ready, they had 2 big ideas, they were an upgrade to the PC Engine and a true 32 bit successor to the PC Engine. Lets get to the conclusion of this epic, right now!!!

Action League Now! A clever, goofy take on the superhero genre...

Remember when Nickelodeon was good, when there were clever non pandering shows that had smarts as well as jokes. One of these shows from this era was KaBLaM! It was a variety show with mini-shows like Prometheus and Bob, and Life with Loopy. Both shows have their bragging rights, but one show always stood out to me, mainly because I had problems watching it due to characters calling each other names constantly, but more on that in a bit. That show was known as ACTION LEAGUE NOW!

Gaming Bits: History of the PC-Engine/TurboGrafx-16: Part 2: The Heyday of the Console (1989-1994) (56k Warning)

When we last left off, The PC-Engine was the king of the home Console market, with it being more successful than the Famicom and Mega Drive, It couldn't help but mature against a pressurized market with a success or of the Famicom on the horizon, and The console feeling a little dated by 1989, so NEC Was at work of a successor, which turned out to be...

Further thoughts on Nintendo Making Movies... (or why we don't need more anime/animated/CG Video game movies)

Well this deadline came out of nowhere, Yesterday I posted an opinion piece on Nintendo making Movies (YAY!!!!!), but I missed the point where they said they they wanted to go the Pixar Route and make animated movies (ummmmm.... Yay?), In my defense, I really suck at reading, Can't read chapter books that well, skim over long news articles, and get over whelmed by large amounts of words, heck, I can't read through my back catalog of blogs as much as the whole world can't... but let's talk further thoughts on Nintendo making movies, and it is indeed BS More animated Video Game movies are coming...

A. Yoshi Opinion Piece: Nintendo Movies, Good or Bad Idea?

I admit I could talk about the new ghostbusters, but I don't want to discuss news for the sake of discussing news, So I'll say a few words on the issue, Just because a female starring movie doesn't get all kind words said about it doesn't mean it's misogynistic, The all female cast isn't the problem in concept, it's just that these are generic chick flick protagonists. Producing clickbait articles and videos Saying this is sexist is insulting to actual sexist media, and using these same posts to say this has strong females is insulting to actual strong females in media. Anyway here's the main attraction of this blog...

Gaming Bits: History of the PC-Engine/TurboGrafx-16: Part 1: Dethroning The Big N (1987-1989) (56k Warning)

I did this YEARS AGO!!!!! DO I HAVE TO DO THIS AGAIN?! I did a history piece on the PC Engine years ago for all 2 of you who remember the Real Gaming News Network, but I want to make a newer version of this so yeah, this month on the A. Yoshi Blog is PC-Engine Month!!!!! In 1987, The Nintendo Famicom was at it's peak, with exclusives like Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Kid Icarus, The Mysterious Murasame Castle, along with other 3rd party hits like Castlevania, Mega Man, Bubble Bobble, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, and many others. But NEC and Hudson Soft had an idea to make a more powerful console. This had everything going for it, but it was only really successful in japan, and a decade later, Hudson was back to hardware only. What was this mysterious console's story? What did it have going for it? Find out on PC-Engine Month!!!!!

Important Life Updates...

So this is a quick blog to give you my situation over the next few weeks/next month. Blog output might slow down over the next few weeks/next month, I know every time I say that blogs get more frequent, but there's a very good possibility that I might get fewer blogs done over this time-lapse. Last month I got 15 or so blogs done, but it's very possible I'll only get half of that number posted, Nobody panic. Here's what's going on, I'm moving to a bigger apartment I was there the last time we moved and it was a major pain in the ASS!!!! It shouldn't be as much so, at least a little, but The real point of this blog is I'm going to be busy packing and unpacking, moving my setup, and not having Internet on my computer for a week or so, but Everything should be back to normal by the end of the month/beginning of next month. I'll try to keep PC Engine month consistent. But A lot of other projects will slow down until further notice. Thanks for understanding, wish me luck...
